Training

At Hoffman Haus Pet Resort, in partnership with North Carolina K9 Academy, we offer basic obedience training to help you enjoy a well-behaved and happy dog. Our training approach uses natural methods to motivate your dog to perform desired behaviors on their own, making the experience enjoyable for both you and your pet. We focus on positive reinforcement, rather than force, to encourage good behavior.

We also address unwanted behaviors by teaching appropriate corrections. Our trainer will guide you on how to apply these corrections in a way that your dog understands naturally, ensuring the discipline is effective and never abusive.

Training Options

Boarding and Training Program

Our Boarding and Training Program is perfect for busy pet owners who want to lay a strong foundation for their dog's obedience and behavior. Over the course of four weeks, your dog will stay with us and learn all the basic obedience commands while also working on managing behaviors in the presence of distractions.

After your dog has mastered the commands, we'll schedule a "take-home" class to teach you how to handle your dog effectively and answer any questions you may have. To ensure ongoing success, we offer unlimited follow-up classes, providing continued support and instruction if any issues arise.

Private Classes

For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, our Private Classes offer personalized training sessions. We will meet with you and your dog once a week to guide you in teaching basic obedience commands and effective communication. These sessions are designed to help you tackle any specific behavioral issues and empower you with the skills to train your dog at home.
